The first BMW M3 was based on the E30 3-series and was intended to be a homologation special to satisfy the German DTM and Group A Touring rules. It was the E30 M3 that gave rise to the golden era of DTM in the late 80s and early 90s through its fierce competition with the cars from AMG. Since then, the M3 has been produced for every generation of the 3-series and is regarded by many as the benchmark sport sedan.
This stunning unit has gone through a painstaking no-expense-spared mechanical restoration. It has been fitted with a manual transmission and is equipped with modifications meant purely to enhance driving pleasure.
