Introduced in 1962, the MGB Roadster was the original open-top expression of MG’s new sports car, preceding the coupé-bodied MGB GT introduced three years later. Affordable, simple and engaging to drive, it went on to become one of the world’s best-selling sports cars, prized for its sweet handling and honest mechanical charm.
This 1972 example is a genuine local black-plate car, finished in British Racing Green over a black interior. With its current owner for over a decade, it presents very well throughout, including its cabin and black soft top.
More than six decades after its introduction, the MGB Roadster remains one of Britain’s most recognisable and enduring sports cars.
