Developed alongside the R107 SL, the C107 SLC lengthened its wheelbase by 360mm to create a four-seat grand tourer. It retained the SL’s low proportions, while adding a fixed roof, rear accommodation and the distinctive louvred rear quarter windows that became its visual signature.
Introduced in 1974, the 280 SLC paired the C107 chassis with Mercedes-Benz’s twin-cam M110 inline-6. Just 10,666 examples were produced before SLC production ended in 1981.
Locally registered from new, this final-year example is finished in Black over a remarkably well-kept Dark Blue interior. It has remained with its current owner for more than a decade and presents beautifully throughout.
A handsome example of an increasingly uncommon Mercedes-Benz grand tourer.
